Let there be light!
Today we're going to talk about studio lighting. There are many different options on the market, however, they all work on approximately the same principles.
When booking our studio, you will receive three Godox SK400 flash units at your disposal. In this blog, we will look at how they work and answer the most frequently asked questions.
You will also get two strip boxes, a 43" umbrella with a diffuser, a 17” octobox, light stands and of course two trigger's compatible with any camera.
At encapsulate studio, we have two triggers (see the photo above). The left one with the large screen is compatible with Sony cameras, the right one is compatible with Canon, Nikon and the others. Just set the trigger on top of your camera with the screen facing you, turn the switch on the right side of the trigger to the on position and you're all set. All flashes are synchronized with all triggers.
As for the flashes. We offer you three identical flash units of the Godox SK400. The power range of these devices 1/16 to 1/1 and 5600K Color Temperature. The lights also have a modifier consistent light to make your process of setting a set easier, however, the power of this light is not enough for video shooting.
Plug the flash into the wall, set the power using the wheel and you're good to go. In the photo above, you can see all the control elements.
Now you know how everything works. Quite simple, but from time to time there may be difficulties. If you followed all the steps above and the light doesn't work then try to find the answer below:
-make sure light is plugged-in and the tumbler is turned on
-check what trigger and light set to the same channel (see picture below)

- if everything works but part of the frame is black when shooting, make sure that your shutter speed is not more than 1/250
